I always am angry when i get a chicken strip basket and it is 9 dollars. Fries are 3 dollars and a drink is 2.50. Any one else mad at these outrageous prices?

Actually for a mountain... At least from what I have seen. that's relatively cheap.

A lot of people don't realize what it costs to get food to the mountain to cook. Getting a truck up a pass to make food deliveries is going to cost way more than in town, hence higher food prices, also their is the whole supply and demand thing. So good luck to OP on your epic Fairytale adventure on trying to lower food costs at resorts through NS.

My mountain is pretty accessible... And it's still 12 bones for a shity stack of nachos.

Racking up $15 sandwhiches at the resort and not that far from the highway on relatively easy roads. Skiing is an expensive sport. Only going to go up in the future.
it costs money to get stuff to and up a mountain, and even if it doesn't, they have a captive group of consumers that want to eat and will pay top dollar for their food
i also believe resort food is sort of analogous to alcohol at other places, it's something they can jack the price up on and make loot. if they stop gouging people on resort food you better believe they'll need to find another place to get that money
so pack your lunch and beers in a bag and get the occasional burger and draft beer in the lodge when youre feelin like a high roller. pick your battles
Every resort that I been to has had free hot water. I just bring ramen. Its easy, just let the noodles soften in the hot water for like a minute or so. Then put the flavoring in. You can get like 64 packs at Sam's Club or Cosco for pretty cheap.
This made my fucking day today. Free BBQ pork sandwiches, chips, cookies, and mountain dew served by a church. I went back just before they left and got a bunch of chips and pop.
