Two two world records were broken in the last couple of days. Prevc set the record. Fannemel broke it the next day on the same hill. Dudes are pretty much missing the landings.
My dad used to compete in ski jumping until he tore his ACL. He competed in the junior olympics and probably would have went pro if he didn't get hurt. Stil holds the record at his college 19 years later

You can't start a ski jumping thread without mentioning Noriaki Kasai. Using crazy Japanese inability to age or get any worse he has been a competitor in the world cup since 1988! Yes 26 seasons in a row, he is 42 now in a sport where most people quit in their late 20's.
Hell Peter Prevc and Fannamel up there weren't even born, not even conceived when Kasai was already in the world cup. He has been in seven olympics. And don't just think he is some sub-50 jumper, he is constantly in the top 10.

His first few years in the world cup they were still jumping mad old school style with skis straight in front of them. If anyone says you are too old for something, show him Kasai.
