I'm honestly shocked that I couldn't find a thread about Wallisch's Good Company. I figured there would have been at least ten made by now, because Wallisch.

Anyways, ESPN (X Games) just released this video/trailer for Good Company on their facebook page. It premieres at Sunday at 11PM ET on ESPN2.

I'm pretty excited. This is great publicity for freeskiing. All of my friends are convinced that skiing is just carving and racing.

I think it is imperative that everyone watches this at 11EST time on TV if you are able to. We really need to make sure the views of this are killa and we shouldn't be pirating that shit and what not. IDK if recording it to DVR factors into a station's ratings or not

This likely an unpopular opinion, but minus the first 10 min (Wallisch running through past, Wisp, etc) I didn't think that played to the masses. I get everybody wants that to be some seminal moment broadcasting the "core" of the sport, but I think for Joe-ESPN watcher it got pretty boring, pretty quickly. Not to say it won't make a great edit for the urban fans that buy/watch those films, but frankly I thought the Woodsy/Kaitlyn Farrington X-games special after it played better. It was certainly more compelling for Joe Schmo that knows little about skiing.

The first segment was for tv/world of xgames. good company one is the second half of the show.

I thought it was interesting how they didn't give Tom any kind of introduction regarding how successful he has been in multiple realms of the sport/has been a major driver to get to the sport where it is today.

It started with him hitting a spot and then going right into his childhood. That makes sense for all of is, but the average person watching it who has no idea who he is probably got bored pretty quickly. To them, it would have come off as - alright, so this dude just hit that rail and now I am watching him go through his childhood house. Who is he? Why does this matter? Etc.

They should have started with a run down of all that he is accomplished (comp results, number of movie segs, insane sponsors, etc) before going into his life.
