AT-ATAs someone who was at the game....It got really close. The Bills got the game within 5 points after being down 13-37 late in the third. The stadium was cranked and the pats had no answer to the bills offense in the 4th.
BakerpowWell chancellor finally decided to come help his team out. About time yah dingus
DeebieSkeebiesgod, chancellor seems like a cunt. didn't he say some funky-ass bible thumper shit earlier like "god will figure this out" or whatever? that's great and all but at the end of the day, his team was still missing personnel and now they're 0-2. no offense to hawks fans or anything, but the way these fucking primadonna millionaries go about their contracts is just infuriating.
with that being said, which teams out of all the 0-2 ones have the best chances of making the playoffs do you all think? anything can happen and I know its only week three, but all ive been hearing is teams who start off really bad rarely make deep runs.
.MASSHOLE.I think part of the issue Kam had is with the way the Hawks handed out contracts to their stars like candy, and he wanted to re-up with one too..
Any Hawks fan want to confirm?

.Hugo.If i was on that team i wouldnt want that selfish prick back
WattsSo great how quickly the Seahawks seem to be imploding now that they handed out massive contracts to Lynch and Wilson, and now everyone else wants in too, it seems. Just gotta hope this continues so that the the average Seattle Seahawks fan and all his/her/its awfulness disappears back into the chic hipster melting pot from which he/she/it crawled forth.
It was pretty obvious that giving both Lynch and Wilson massive new contracts in the same year was a bad idea, but didn't think they would implode as a team this quickly. But it's also really early and tons of time for them to figure it out and turn it around, so who knows what will happen.
Bakerpowi wouldnt call it imploding.... they have not been blown out and both games the hawks have shot themselves in the foot with penalties. they jumped on rodgers hard count way too many times and gave gb a couple free first downs which you cannot do with rodgers. the games have been close and a few stops different they would be 2-0...

DeebieSkeebiesgod, detroits just starting to get depressing. what an awful football team.
.Hugo.At least they dont look as bad as chicago lol. They legitimately might go 0-16 this year
DeebieSkeebiesRodgers is just unstoppable. Jesus Christ.

.Hugo.as much as i hate the packers a brady vs rodgers superbowl would be fun to watch
DeebieSkeebiesOh my fucking god, this is unreal.
eheathI'm so fucking pissed they wont stop talking about this stupid illegal batting rule.
He did break the rule, but the ball was already going out, he didnt change direction, hell he barely touched it. I wish ESPN would chill the fuck out about trying to create drama about refs, it didn't effect the game who fucking cares.

Bakerpowi agree with eheath, slightly biased yes, but i think wright was way more focused on the fact they just won the game than what he was doing. yall are taking it the exxxtreme a bit
.MASSHOLE.It certainly did affect the game. The rule is a rule, just like the Tuck Rule was a rule. By ignoring it it drastically altered the outcome of the game and ultimately the season for both teams.
eheathHow did that effect the game? The ref didn't call the penalty because it would've given the lions an unfair advantage. Wright hitting the ball out of bounds didnt do anything to change the game, period.

BenWhitIt's not an unfair advantage if it's by the letter of the rule. It didn't change the game, but it may have altered the outcome. Calvin Johnson can't fumble that ball, end of story.
It is an illegal bat if:
a) any player bats or punches a loose ball in the field of play toward his opponent's goal line
b) any player bats or punches a loose ball (that has touched the ground) in any direction, if it is in either end zone
c) an offensive player bats a backward pass in flight toward his opponent's goal line
Exception: A forward pass in flight may be tipped, batted, or deflected in any direction by any eligible player at any time.
Note: If a forward pass that is controlled by a player prior to completing the catch is thrown forward, it is an illegal bat. If it is caught by a teammate or intercepted by an opponent, the ball remains alive. If it is not caught, the ball is dead when it hits the ground.
Wright illegally batted the ball, the Lions should have been given the ball at the 1-yd line with goal-to-go. You cannot arbitrarily say it's an unfair advantage when the advantage is given to the team by the rule. It the same advantage given to players with simultaneous possession, defensive PI, intentional grounding, etc. Punters kick the ball out the back of the end-zone and it results in a safety and forfeiture of possession, so the rules are not the same.
eheathI completely understand the rule and there was a reason it wasn't called because it would've given the lions an unfair advantage.
Wright was acting like any one player would have acted, he got the ball away from the offense and he knew if the ball went out of the back of the end zone it would be a turnover and a touch back. They asked every veteran player on espn and in every interview in the post game with guys on the field and NONE of them knew that was illegal and said they would have done the same thing.
The ref recognized that what he did has zero effect on the game and didn't call it and I think it was a great no call.

The point I'm making is that if Wright didn't touch the ball, it would've gone out of bounds. If he just didn't put his hand in front of him, it would've hit his body and gone out of bounds. If he wasn't there, 5 other dudes would've dove at the ball, from both teams and the likely result would've been the ball going out of bounds.
This is why i think calling that penalty would've resulted in an unfair advantage for the lions. They fumbled it at the 6inch line and the result of that play if the ball wasn't touched is it would've gone out of bounds. Wright didn't alter the path of the ball, shit he barely touched it. How pissed would people be if the ref called this pentaly, the lions got a second chance after calvin lost the ball, how would that be fair? Because of some bullshit technicality that didn't effect the game?

BrothsTopazI'm a lions fan and I gotta tell ya. It was painful to watch that loss last night and the worst part is, our coach ha no fire to argue a call he knew was wrong. I don't believe in bad luck but the lions seriously have some bad something against them
DeebieSkeebiesTotal punch in the gut last night. Refs are a god damn joke in this league. Its going to be difficult for them to pull this season around after last night. At least hockeys back Friday so we can watch one detroit team win a few games at least.
