BenWhitFEAR THE 12TH MAN!
BogsLittle do 99% of Seahawks fans know, they have to pay Texas A & M, the team they stole the phrase from, to use it.
Just beyond pathetic.
BenWhitIsn't that great?
Let's construct a stadium that intentionally amplifies crowd noise back into the field of play. That is as disingenuous as pumping in crowd noise.
BogsAnd the worst part is that you know all these fans signing these insane petitions to ban Cam and Troy Aikman and Joe Buck from entering Centurylink sincerely believe in their heart of hearts that they are the greatest, most dedicated fans in the history of sports and that no other team benefits from their fans the way the Seahawks do, because, of course, they're the 12th man. Little do 99% of Seahawks fans know, they have to pay Texas A & M, the team they stole the phrase from, to use it.
Just beyond pathetic.
BogsAnd then claim that because this stadium makes us sound louder than we really are, we are obviously by far the best fans not just in the NFL, but in sports period.
People say Pats fans are the worst, but at least we don't write petitions trying to ban players from our stadium because they hurt our feelings when they beat us and don't blame losing on things like tablets or headsets not working properly. More than can be said for a lot of fan bases.
eheathWe could also talk about how much they play that loud ass horn at the patriots stadium, I swear that on a final drive for the away team, they play it on 2nd, 3rd and 4th down, its fucking ridiculous.
BenWhitHaving been to a dozen games at Gillette, they only play it on 3rd down.
eheathDude, no way. Every playoff game in the 4th Q they were playing it on 2nd down too. I was giving my friend shit who was a pat fan who was sitting right next to me, they played it so many fucking times.
eheathI mean, nothing in pro/college sports is original, they all play the same music, they all have the same chants. What do you expect? The 12th man thing for the seahawks is a HUGE marketing thing, theyre obviously gonna push the shit out of it.
eheathWe could also talk about how much they play that loud ass horn at the patriots stadium, I swear that on a final drive for the away team, they play it on 2nd, 3rd and 4th down, its fucking ridiculous.
BogsI expect Seahawks fans to be smarter than the marketing people for the Seahawks telling them how great they are because they stole a slogan from a college. But they aren't. Seahawks fans are all too happy to believe whatever the Seahawks marketing people tell them as long as it lets them feel like the special snowflake fans of the NFL, which it clearly does.
Not really sure what that has to do with Seahawks fans convincing themselves they're the greatest fans in the history of football and nobody comes close because they have a stadium that amplifies noise and they stole the 12th man slogan from Texas A&M? I've never heard a single Pats fan talk about how Pats fans are the best in the NFL because Gillette stadium plays a horn sound.
eheathI wasn't defending anyone, I was pointing out that every fan base is annoying as fuck.
BogsRight, but they aren't all equally annoying, and Seahawks fans are way, way worse than almost any other fanbase.
eheathExcept for pats fans...
eheathExcept for pats fans...
BenWhithow do you figure?
eheathMostly because 90% of my friends are from New England and 50% of them are bandwagon patriot fans, its annoying AF
BenWhitthat's a fair point, for sure.
I'm just tired of all the talk that Patriots fans are intolerable because the fan base has defended the team so staunchly for the last 15 years. Every single one of the team's successes, in the eyes of Patriot haters, is tainted. The objective football fan understands the severity, or lack thereof, of deflated footballs. The objective football fan understands that when the Patriots were caught filming opposing teams' signals, so were every other team. "Objective" Patriots fans recognize that the Patriots needed to be made an example having recently won a Super Bowl. But alas, the negative voices are always the loudest... the ones calling the Patriots cheaters, the ones calling Tom Brady a pussy, etc. etc. They relish in the Patriots defeat, despite the fact that they seem to always be losing on Championship weekend.
Not to mention, the Patriots aren't even inside the Top 10 list of teams accused to have been "cheating". The Broncos find themselves atop that list, with NYJ & NYG not too far behind.

http://www.king5.com/story/sports/nfl/seahawks/5th-quarter-blog/2016/01/26/petition-calls-cam-newton-ban-centurylink-field/79339444/
After Newton and the Panthers beat the Seahawks in the playoffs last week, Newton was seen throwing a 12 Flag to the ground. That led to a letter on Facebook by a woman named “Sarah” to Newton, calling him “classless.” The letter went viral.
Then on Monday, a fan posted a petition to ban Newton from CenturyLink Field, the Seahawks’ home stadium. The Panthers visit the Seahawks next season.
“Cam Newton is one of the most unprofessional, unsportsmanlike individual (sic) on the face of the planet. So I say for the 2016-2017 when the Panthers come to play in Seattle he should be banned from entering the stadium. This should teach him to put his arrogance in check!!” wrote Andrew Tilton on the petition posted on Change.org.
The petition was approaching 1,000 signatures Tuesday morning.
GTFO of here hahahahahaha

^ lol
Sno.Non-Seahawk fans claiming to be Seahawk fans are giving us a bad rep.
BogsNo offense, because obviously not all Seahawks fans are like that, but I'm fairly certain the thousands of people signing these petitions are Seahawks fans. This is, honestly, the most Seattle/PNW thing of all time: start a petition to get an athlete banned from your city on the grounds that he was disrespectful and hurt your feelings. Just doesn't get more Seattle than that.
I was born and raised in Massachusetts, but moved out to Seattle and lived there all of last year. If I had to pick one thing to sum up the PNW, this would be it.
BogsWell that fucking sucked. Incredible defensive display from the Broncos, really did a remarkable job pressuring Brady over and over again and not letting Edelman or Amendola get open. On top of that you add some poor execution by the Pats and Denver comes out with a win.
Also, pretty remarkable the way that the Patriots tablets don't work the first quarter and a half or whatever it was and nobody makes a peep. Just like nobody has made a peep about the Manning HGH allegations. Obviously it doesn't really matter, but can you imagine what the reaction would have been had this game been in New England and Denver's tablets didn't work? Goodell would have probably had a firing squad choppered in at half time to kill Brady. Just another example of how differently the Patriots are treated from every other team in the league. Just truly amazing.
Panthers better win this Super Bowl. Can't stand the thought of Manning falling ass backwards into a Super Bowl victory after having done absolutely nothing all season to deserve it. Truly, truly unjust to see Manning in this game and not Brady after all he has been through with Deflategate, especially when contrasted with the way Manning has been treated like a fucking hero for being accused of using HGH.
NBCskierTwo things:
1: Brady and the pats have been proven cheaters on multiple occasions, so it's safe to say that they have that stimga. That being said, anytime there is anything fishy coming from the patriots organization they will be scrutinized heavily. They did it to themselves, people don't forget. The Broncos don't have that stigma which is obviously why they weren't getting questioned about the tablets. Also, remember when the players weren't face first into the screen of the tablet during the defensive set?
2: The HGH allegations came from fucking Al Jazeera. Super reputable news source when it comes to sports. The claims have also been redacted.
Not a Broncos or pats fan. Pretty stoked to see Brady get beat and am looking forward to the qb matchup in the SB.

.MASSHOLE.There is a reason the MLB and NFL are now investigating the claims.
NBCskiervery amusing getting pats fans all salty and testy.

BogsYeah, absolutely ridiculous. Has there ever been a softer, more entitled, more clueless, just totally moronic fanbase in the history of sports than Seahawks fans? I really don't think so. If it were any other team I'd say this stuff just couldn't be real, but because it's the Seahawks it just makes sense. All this stuff is so Seattle, and so Seahawks, that it hurts.

You don't want Cam Newton to toss your 12th Man flag all over the field? Don't have a team that allows him to disembowel your "Legion of Boom" made up of a corner that plays zone on one side of the field & a safety that was exposed as a poor cover safety. Don't have a coach that looks like an old Owen Wilson, who stands on lockers and rah-rahs his team. I'm sorry, Seattle, but that Divisional game against Carolina was never close.
"Throw it, Bev. Throw it."
"It's a great play to score a touchdown against those guys, unless it doesn't happen"
My all-time favorite Pete Carroll quotes.

Thizzle.I am a (perhaps the only) Pats fan from Seattle, and I wholeheartedly agree with with all of these statements. I fucking hate Seahawks fans.

BogsOh, I lived in Seattle all of last year and it was a fucking nightmare being around these people all the time. Had absolutely nothing against Seahawks fans going into it, but goddamn are they hard to tolerate.

Sno.Yeah...if theres one thing worse than those whiney fucking seahawks fans, though, its other fans whining about them.
