With pivots you are fucked if you snap a brake, they can't adjust, but release more reliably, have more elasticity, and are more durable.
With griffons brakes are easily replaceable, you have quite a bit of bsl adjustment, but are plastic and less reliable and will pre-realease more at the same or even higher setting.
Pivots are better, just don't break the brake.

steeze4dayspretty much correct about everything other than the plastic, the griffon actually has quite a few metal components, i know a lot of people complain about pre-release but i'm yet to release prematurely in my griffons.
rtl32Well then you must ski like a fairy.
Griffons do not have metal, other than the horizontal bar underneath the toe and both springs
Both of my toe pieces have 3-4mm play in them, and I snapped one heels arm clean off the track on a landing. Waiting for the whole thing to rip to get jesters (the only reason I'm not switching to fks is I wasted my money on these shitty griffons and don't want to pay 60 to get another set of holes in skis I will be replacing next year anyway)

steeze4daysNot sure how hard you looked at your griffons but actually the release pieces on the toe piece are both metal, and a lot of the support components are metal two.
I'm sorry you shred the Gnar and clearly need a 5lbs 18din binding to support your needy skiing.
Evaluate your level of skiing and then buy your equipment accordingly, for most people griffons are great bindings.

Duckonquackgriffons are heavier than pivots but ive had mine for a while and their durability is fine.
