UglyboyA resort isn't going to install a rope tow just for the park. It's not beneficial enough for them. Additionally it would cost a fair amount of money and the return just isn't worth it

ShredabilityMy mountain just replaced the park tow with one of those stupid fucking magic carpets.
Children everywhere now... it's horrible.
powerbong2000almost every park around these parts has a tow.
dickrabbitMidwest has the whole rope tow park thing down

AnGaperI built a rope tow easily comparable to actual ones, for $50.
TOAST.J-bars are better, no ripping your gloves apart.
As for the idea in the OP it will never happen.
603powI could see mountains that boast about their park such as Breckenridge installing one, thus starting the trend which other mountains would follow suite
Mr.LemonPieThat would never happen at Breck.
shin-bangmy resort barely even has a lift.... ive also heard rope tows absolutely shred your gloves.
*TACO-DOG*here's a picture of rabbit hill. the rope tow goes up what you see on the right side, beside the jumps and honestly it's the best thing ever. you can get a good 60 laps in over 3 hours if you were hot lapping. wouldn't want it any other way.
pow_pow~rope tows would alleviate strain on lifts because all the park rats would stay on the tow, therefore considerably smaller lift lines for the average joe win?
and then the obvious benefits for park skiers.
you could run park lessons so much more efficiently and make quite a bit of money of them
parkplaygroundI think how the OP said to have a separate rail garden would probably work the best. Just section off a part of the trail, which realistically won't take up all that much space, slap a rope tow in there (which also isnt very much money compared to a fucking chairlift) and to just have mad hot laps all day every day. love the idea Matt

chris.weinandRope tows are amazing- Midwest represent
DobberBasically the entire Midwest except for my home mountain.

Adolf.Hitleryeah it's not like they already make millions or anything.
integratedRope tows up and down the park would clear up a lot of congestion in the lift lines. Which makes everyone happy. Also a lot of people ski park, if a mountain had rope tows or t bars running up through the park (like windells) you would be able to get 100+ laps on your favorite feature. This would bring in way more peeps, generating more ticket sales (I bet you could even do a rope two add on charge). Tows would be a great investment for any mountain (who has a decent park), if they can't see that then they are stuck in the past.

603powI may be stretching it a little far, but a rope to would aid the rail progression the same as an airbag aids the jump progression
AnGaperIf you've ever seen brain massage, I made a makeshift winch out of my snowmobile. I used that as the engine for the tow rope. Just pound in some poles and string up a few pulleys, and you'll be good.
