Im going to japan this spring break, in about two weeks. Im not gonna bring my skis over but I am going to bring my boots. So for knowledge sake where is the best place to ski?

i cant say this with first hand experience but Sapporo seems to be the place to be in japan.. looks like it never stops snowing there

How much time do you have to ski? And where in Japan will you be based? Hokkaido has had a pretty slow couple of weeks with warm weather and rain so some of the Honshu resorts might be a better option.

Yeah I just got back from a month in Niseko and I'd reccomend it. heaps of snow even though its a "shit" season for them and even some park if your keen to hit that too.

Hey I'm going to Japan in a little less then two weeks too!
We're only skiing for about 3 or 4 days, and we're basing out of Sapporo and doing day trips to mt tiene, Kiroro, and kokusai I think.

We've also seen a lot about Niseko, but decided we wanted to take a different path!

Im thinking sapporo, the thing is I'm with my dad and he's not very bc friendly.

Sapporo is a great base, with easy transport to a number of different hills. Hotels are cheap and the city is really vibrant with awesome food and drinking spots. Teine is the closest decent hill, and Kokusai and Kiroro aren't too difficult to get to.

Looks like snow is coming back in from today or tomorrow, so the timing should work out for you guys.

Message me if you want more info, Sapporo Teine is my local hill and I'm more than happy to show you some spots if I'm around!
