AT-ATand swag is a really old term actually. Comes from the 1500's. My great aunt used it to describe how someone holds themselves. She laughed at our generation for thinking that we were to only ones to come up with new words and phrases.

ohmyglob8actually now hold up, although there is some stupidity in the argument that it originates from black people there is also some truth to it, world star hip hop has a lot to do with it in my opinion, and most often only hinders the african culture further. Now I'm not saying i know everything to do with african american culture, but i think i know enough and can connect the dots to see that there is something there that causes many of these slang terms to come to fruition through social media such as WSHH and the culture itself.

ohmyglob8its not exactly a discussion on race, more about sub cultures, and how each race has one where there is a set of norms for them. With african american culture its often viewed to prove themselves and gain money through selling drugs, being a pimp, or being a rapper. Asians do the same thing, they're set to the ideals that they should get good grades and often become a doctor or masters. Even jewish culture does it. I'm just agreeing that white people wouldn't say these things and its a cultural aspect that causes it to grow in popularity.
