RCKR2 Bindings

Whats up NS , i just bought some Salomon Rocker 2 100mm in 186 cm . Put some FKS 140 center mounted and First day they delaminated... Just got my new pair and dont know If its because of the FKS ... They only got 4 screws close at heel and i think its the reason of the delamination... What You think ? Im about to buy some Salomon STH13 or marker Jester to Make sure it Will stay in place ... What Bindings are the best ? Im always in the park and hard on my skis , i broke 2 pair of griffon allready ...

Where did the skis delaminate? The FKS heel has been around for about 25 years, if it pulled skis apart I'd say they would have changed it by now.

Might want to check with your shop. They might not be screwing them down all the way, or not sealing them properly causing water to get into the ski.

despite the expensive brake replacement fks are my favorite bindings. most likely the shop is mounting them wrong and water got in (as mentioned above)

Caused by not drilling the holes deep enough. Then when you mash the screw in, probably with a power drill without a clutch, it jacks the top layers of the ski off the core, or at least majorly stresses them.

Nothing at all wrong with FKS on that ski, not sure why you'd want that ski center mounted though. Sounds like the shop did a crappy mount. I've mounted FKS/pivots on skis with way too many holes already and they're rock solid. As others have said, make sure the holes are drilled deep enough, properly cleared of debris(a shop-vac is your friend for this), and then sealed with glue before installing the bindings. Clutch on the power drill is key too, if you're using a power drill. I set the torque super low and finish the last few turns by hand to be sure nothing strips. Let em sit overnight for the glue to cure and you're good to go. Your skis are probably toast at this point though.
