Asshole snowboarder taking out skier

So this morning I just saw this video pop up on youtube and I felt like I needed to share it (as I write this I don't know why I am making this a thread and not in the video section, but I've already committed to this). This is the video description for it:

"Local heavy said he had enough of tourists on the hill and went for an epic de-cleating at 45mph"

I hate this snowboarder. He is sick of the tourists? The guy is literally the only person on the entire run and he decided to potentially tear both of the skiers ACLs. It's disgusting that anyone (skier or snowboarder) would do something like this to anyone on a mountain because it could end horribly.

My thought was that the boarder was trying to come in fast to spray the skier, but ended up sucking and skidded out.

I doibt he was actually trying to hit the guy. He wouldnt have started apologizing and undoing his bindings if he did it on purpose.

Looks to me like the skier and snowboarder probably knew each other. Snowboarder was trying to be funny and spray his buddy, looses and edge, and accidently takes him out. If it was some random tourist, I really doubt his first reaction would be to laugh.

it looks like he wasnt trying to take him out he was just making turns or either trying to spray his friend and lost his edge.

Ya guys it's obviously CGI. You can tell from the diffraction angles of the shadowing effect on patch of snow approximately 2 metres right from centre.

That is some sick work! At 10 seconds in, notice the skiers shadow until he is being struck: the shadow did not move a bit, then vanished. Very believable though.
