B.QuincySfb, 3.0/4.0, yle, on3p jefferies or caylor.
lcoopmanGet a pair of JJs or a pair of magic Js
SuaveSkierI've narrowed it down to the Faction Candide 3.0, 3.Zero, or Line SFB's. Any further input would be appreciated.
TheWeazI ski 3.0's most of the time here on the east coast, but they are so light that that have a definite speed limit trying to charge through bumps and crud, if thats your main goal I would go with 3.zeroes. Other than that I have some friends who love the sfb even though its soft, and blister gives it good reviews.
.lenconHighly recommend yles. I love my pair. They are a killer pow ski and handle all Mtn fantastically when you need them to. I've taken them to speeds around 70 mph and was busting through some ice blocks. You'd love them dude. Any more questions just ask.
SuaveSkierYeah I have heard that 3.Zeroes love bumps, I'm just hesitant about the 191 length. I raced for a majority of my life so I'd consider myself a strong skier, but I'd assume they ski shorter with tip and tail rocker correct?
TheWeazwell they do sell the 3.zero in a 183 as well, but yes it would ski a bit shorter due to the rocker, but the rocker isnt as pronounced as say a jj or something, so it won't ski that much shorter.

Same problem im having looking for a pair of fat/pow skis for the EC. I raced also and can't give up the camber. I want something with decent camber some tip / tail rocker in the 103-108 waste range. Tought o find that these days for a decent price

They definetly seem like a solid ski but I'm just worried they will be a litttle slow edge to edge in the bumps being 119 underfoot.
SuaveSkierAt 6ft what would you recommend? I appreciate the help man.
TheWeazI don't know man, I would definitely recommend the 191 if you were going to get the 3.0, just because its so light. But the 3.zero is heavier and stiffer, as well as having more camber, the 191 might be a chore is tight places, but would be a beast on trail, where as the 183 would be more maneuverable in the trees, but slightly less stable.
.lenconA 187 yle fills that gap very well.
TheWeazexcept that the yle is a symmetrical center mounted jib ski, which isnt even remotely close to what the 3.zero is made for. It would be more similar to the 3.0 or the sfb.
.lenconExcept it's not really symmetrical. And just cause a ski is symmetrical doesn't unqualify it. The mount point (where I even mount them for jibbing and stuff) is -2.5 which is really good for charging around too. The dimensions might read 140-119-140 but theres a tad bit of taper in the tip which moves that center of the sidecut back. You could even go further than -2.5
But if that bothers you CRJ is another great option.
TheWeazwell I guess that's a little better than I thought, just based on its dimensions I assumed it was a pow jib ski. I still think there are better options for east coast charging, but the yle could work as well if you are looking for something on the more play full side.
as for the crj, I have actually owned those and as sick as they are in the fresh , mine were limp noodles and were some of the least stable skis I have ever skied. very sick for butters and very forgiving though.
