How men and women are depicted differently in commercials
In most commercials men are always portrayed as the idiot, for example "my stupid husband dosent clean up after himself" type of commercial is prominent when watching t.v, you never see women making a fool of themselves or doing anything remotely silly or stupid in commercials. "my wife buys to many shoes, I am an idiot and dont know what shoes she wants". Girls in commercials say how hot guys are, but if a guys said this in a commercial about a girl it would be sexist or socially unacceptable. "he is so hot and has nice abs" - acceptable " she is hot and has a nice ass" - sexist pig. If you dont believe me just listen to a few commercials.
feminists care so much about the portrayal of women in general. Guys on the other hand do not care about their image so we do not pursue the end to that.
It's called marketing. The adverts are set up this way for a reason. It sells the product better. Wanna get on your feminism/MRA high horse them go join tumblr or go to a liberal college and complain
