Grinding a Guard Rail

Where I live there are not many hand rails however there are a lot of guard rails. I was wondering if guard rails can act as an urban rail. I never see them in edits and I was wondering if this was a coincidence or not. Are guard rails sticky or awkward to be hit as rails? All input is received gratefully. Thanks homies and keep it real.

Me and my friends tried this the other day. Stickiest thing you will ever hit. Even wax won't make it slightly worth it. It's like trying to grind on sandpaper.

No, I've found that normal handrails slide great, especially if you just run over them with your skis beforehand. (unless they're aluminum, then you're fucked)

Was thinking about this while driving home a couple days ago. I came to the conclusion that it would be pretty much impossible to slide and would pretty much destroy your bases which you might not care about if you do urban. Also I don't know about you but most guard rails around me usually have small metal pieces sticking up which work kind of like skate blockers (obviously not for the same purpose).
