So right now where I live in northern New Hampshire we are probably having the best winter since about 5 years ago or so but in the west it seems to be absolute shit or so I've been told. Which isn't normal usually it's vice versa. I had a recent discussion with a friend today. Who I'm taking to whistler late February, about how there isn't much snow down there. He brought up a valid point though, he said that February is the snowiest month in the east which is true from the 15 years I've lived here and he also said that late February March is when the west gets a lot of snow and at first I didn't believe this mainly because well March is late winter so wouldn't you get less snow? But then I looked at the whistler average monthly snowfall and February was in fact the month that got the least amount and March got the most! So could this mean that more snow is to come out west during the next few months of winter? I'd really hope so. And Im super bummed that the conditions aren't up to par in the west that must absolutely blow but hang in there because this year may actually be a late winter. Because not a month ago there were sinkholes of snow to the grass with rivers running through them at my local resorts and it was raining every weekend. We literally went from a good 3 and a half feet of snow to none in about 2 weeks and then all of the sudden BOOM piss cold temperatures and a ton of dry fluffy powder and it hasn't stopped snowing in the past 2 weeks either and as far as the weather report goes it's only going to stay cold. So for some reason, now this may sound stupid, but I predict that there will be more snowfall to come in the west and hopefully a lot of it. And I know how it feels west coasters when you have no snow. You feel depressed like winter is over and your going to get no snow. The mind has a way of assuming the worst in bad situations but just stay positive and hopefully you will get more snow because a month if not a few weeks ago the east too, had no snow. Hang in there everyone. Much love and good vibes from the east.
