damn, i was doing nose and tail butters for 3 days straight really hard, and today i did it really big and fucking broke the ski right under the boot it was so nuts, now im scared of doing it with my new skis, they fucking shattered, anybody else have this happen

^Lean really far forward and then try to rotate. It takes a bit of practice. They are easiest to do if you are switch. Go fakie then lean waaaay back on your tails and turn downhill.

Noodly skis help as well.

Anyway, an example of a butter would be in the last issue of Freeze where Tanner comes into a rail switch, spins 180 while on his tails, and then pops off the tails of his skis onto a rail. Sorry, I can't really explain it very well. Can anyone else explain it a little better?
