Help us make a crazy set of skis

Helo NS, TBK Ski co. is new ski company out of portland oregon.

Basically we are making 5 different ski models, all of which are park skis. 4 of which will be designed to the likings of our crew members.

The last model will be based on the craziest shit you guys can come up with, and we will just do what he have to, to make them rideable.

just about anything goes

ie.:
grind slots under foot
blow holes
plastic cores
metal bases w/built in edges
tripe camber
fish tails
crazy graphics
cup holders
pink fur topsheets
built in pipe
...you name it


we will post pictures of the production, and finished product, as well as videos of us using the finished product.


after the skis are made we will give away the 5 pairs we make in a raffel.

give us what youve got..

NinetyFourI hate to sound like a jaded dick but the ski industry has seen way too many shitty ski manufacturing pipe dreams in the last 2 years, and right now that's all I'm seeing here.

Evan.ZxyOkay here's what you gotta do:

-Super fat ski, I'm talking like 150x125x150, its gotta be symmetrical being a park ski and all.
-Stupid amount of rocker, like there contact point is going to be something like 6-10" down the ski from either tip.
-Make them noodles, combined with the super rocker everyone in the park should hear you drop into your nose butter to double cork to landing in a tail press.

Basically a symmetrical pow ski that's too soft for pow but makes the perfect spreading surface for dishing out butter all over the park.

all you guys have it wrong instead of full rocker it needs full camber to the point where the mid section doesn't touch the snow you could pop so hard that you could jump the snowboarders and gapers in the entrance to the park

handles for grabs, removable of course (but why would you?)

attachable wheels at the base for the summer months, kinda like Heelys (if anyone remembers the shoes Heelys)

murdered out top sheet made of Lego (maybe get a sponsor ship out of that) so that you can create your own graphic on top (sell custom fit LIMITED EDITION graphics for more prophet) , and if it chips, u can just rebuild it, cause its fucken Lego!.

3mm thick edges and base, because anything over 2.5mm is considered top secret unimaginably durable material that's to indestructible to be possibly used in a ski, let alone shown to the public.

Aha thanks. And don't get me wrong, I like seeing people building skis and doing a good job of it. It just kills me to see so many business that are created and within a year or so they're more or less nothing. I think more people need to realize that just because you can bake the bread doesn't mean you should sell it. Sometimes it's best to just enjoy it for yourself, and if it really is that good then maybe give consideration to opening up the bakery...

Make a pair that you can rock upside down (reversible tips and tails that can be flipped upside down and righ side up with a rotating center)

Since you all seem to be having fun with this, we will make the first run with 5 different ski designs (all crazy as fuck), and then after we will put out a new set every month (year round) just like every third thursday, only you guys pick the designs!

Haha, we are not planning on mass producing or selling the crazy skis. Although we plan on giving each pair away in a raffle!

that sounds like a serious legal risk on your part. i would consider inclosing a release form with all 5 pairs.

Great way on how to represent a companies image. Nothing better than getting straight to your point and not carrying about your customers. Check out their instagram account, I think they're literally the Hood Crew version of a ski company. Super interested to see what kind of creations will come forth from this.

Sounds like you should try to build one decent ski that has good flex and is not delaminating after few days. That's hard enough without putting a lot of bullshit technologies in it.

Anyways on a side note, I know everyone is anxious to see our products, and we dont have much coverage. We are going to slowly relese our ski designs, and give a few sneak peaks of the skis before they relese on our instagram... Builds up hype that way, haha good or bad we dont care.

20: Yes, and no, the skis we will be selling are produced out of a top noch facility in china. Right now we are working with our producers to make sure the skis meet our high standards. We would love to make all of our skis in the USA, But most of us co-own several Dental/Esthetician practices, and do not have the time to fully manage this hobby.
