Vail took my friends gopro.

Hey NS this is kind of a claim thread that is funny but I need your help

This is true. I shit you not newschoolers

About 3 weeks ago my friend had his last day in Tahoe before going to whistler, then going back home to Australia where he lives. On his last day skiing Northstar and using his Epic pass we decided it is needed to spray mtn safety because why not? So he grabs his gopro, takes off all his clothes except his underwear and starts mobbin down home run at Northstar. He sprays mountain safety but they stop him, take his gopro, take his pass and talk to him. His plane from Reno to Vancouver departs in 3 hours so he doesn't have time. He didnt have time to reason with them so he just left with a single shit given.

Tl;dr friend sprays mtn safety in underwear, illegally takes his gopro

So how would you go about getting it back? Is security even allowed to take his gopro away? I don't think that's legal or allowed within Vail corp. He cannot get it so it is up to me. Security currently has it and they probably deleted the footage. It would be epic if it was recoverable then I would post that on newschoolers. It would be awesome and would definitely be in the hall of fame for me.

I have no Idea what vails policies are about that kind of stuff but I would guess its not in their right to take a guest's property. However dealing with them would be such a huge hassle I wouldn't think it would be worth it. let it go and let the good times roll

odds of you ever recovering this gopro are slim to none. mountain safety will have "no idea what you're talking about" and say that "it must have gotten lost on the mountain"

Ya but it's a gopro that belongs to one of my best friends. Plus, I would be pissed if a douchey security guard took my gopro, I'm sure you'd be angry as well, but you were too lazy to get because it's just a gopro which is actually quite expensive

haha all I was trying to say is that dealing with any kind of mountain safety is hell. I like go pros and i dislike douches but sometimes you gotta pick your battles. go ahead and try, im interested in how this turns out.

I will try my best to get the video up on NS. Before he dropped in to spray mtn safety he said "this one is for you vail" and then skied down in underwear. It will be funny to watch

OP I would just cut my losses and go. They're are going to make you jump through hoops to get it because you were a dick to them. You should have never gave up your go pro. And you never should have sprayed them in the first place.

Why would you even hand it over? I would just calmly take off my skis, walk to my car, and drive away. They can clip your pass or ticket, but I wouldn't just hand over my property to yellow jackets.

yeah come to think of it, some of these things don't add up. sounds like his friend was doing something incriminating or whatever, and that's why they tried to take his camera. not just because they could have.

Dude I don't spray anyone i'm just saying it's not the end of the world getting sprayed by light fluffy snow.... Personally i'm an employee at a ski hill and I wouldn't take a kids GoPro over that....

Don't be a straight pussy man. It's goddamn water. If a person freaks out when they get some soft water sprayed on them then I would strongly suggest them working in a different industry then skiing.
