I am new to editing and stuff and was wondering which editing software I should use. I have a nikon d3200. I used to have a gopro and I used gopro studio but it definitely has its limits. I know Final Cut Pro is a good one, but its like $1000. Is there any way you can download it for free or do you just have to buy it? Also, which programs are good for slow motion, gopro studio had it but it was very choppy and bad.

You can get pretty much any program for free. I would say AE has the best slowmo capabilities but that's just because I haven't used Final cut or premiere. Also, it may have been choppy due to your frame rate.

If you're starting out, iMovie on Mac was a good starting point for me. You can also torrent programs without the hefty price tag.

i like adobe but i also use a pc so i have never tried final cut.

the coen brothers use final cut so i would say go that route
