Bad eyesite?

Crowbars are pretty shitty for glasses if I remember correctly. There is hardly enough room and the glasses feel uncomfortable and if you bail hard once everything gets fucked up. I have had glasses for 16 years, I have a pair of Electric Eg2's from last year and they fit perfectly over my specs.

Just bought the crowbars :(

Skied in glasses for 14 years, just made the switch last year to contacts, and that was the best decision of my life. 10/10 get contacts.

If you don't want to always wear contacts then just get like 2 months of daily wears and only use them when you ski. They came out to like $1 a pair for me so total plus the requred exam it cost about $250 and they last me the whole season.

What I would suggest is getting some laser eye surgery. Really frees you from glasses. I had it done about 5 years ago now. Best decision of my life. I used to have shit vision. Though it doesn't work the same for everyone, but I have had the best luck with it. My eyes used to be utter shit, -10 in each eye. Now it's pretty much 20/20. It really changes your life though. It's great to not have to worry about glasses or wearing contacts for too long. For the time being I would suggest either getting some goggles that fit with your glasses or go get some contacts if you can't afford laser eye surgery. If you go during the winter you will be out of commission for a few weeks, which means less skiing. If you can't afford it I'd suggest saving up for it and get it done in the summer. I spent the extra and got the smaller laser so it would take less off of my cornea. I can have it done probably two more times if I really need it.


I figured I might mention that I would suggest going for the PRK instead of Lasik. The difference is the way the operate on your eye. Lasik they peel back a top layer of your cornea and then do the operation and then put it back on top. There is a small risk of it opening back up if you do physical sports. Which is why I Decided to Go PRK. With PRK they just shave down the top of the cornea and then at the end throw a contact lens on your eyes for about a week so your eyes can heal. I was also given some eye drops that numbed my eyes and it was the weirdest thing I've ever done. I had some pretty bad eye pain at times, but these drops basically made it feel like I didn't have eyeballs in my eye sockets. Probably one of the most weirdest feelings.

i have eg2's as well and they're the only goggles i've found that i can wear glasses of any kind underneath; but most of the time i just choose the blurry-vision approach.

I had almost no problem adjusting to contacts(Everyone is different). Maybe the first few days I had to take them out only after a while. The one thing to remember is to try and take them out every night before sleep. I've gone like 2 days wearing them before, but I don't recommend it.

oh my god youre going to love them. it might feel weird putting something in your eye at first but you get used to that super quickly. youre gonna jizz your pants at how much better it is, especially when doing something like skiing

like the other guy said, though, be good about taking them out at night etc

also i would recommend keeping a spare in your ski jacket. i try to always do that in case i lose one on the mtn

when I ride my goggles let in so much air my eyes get watery and I need to blink to be able to see, preventing me from hitting really high speeds in the winter cuz I get going real fast and then I'm blindish

is it just the goggles? this happens with my IOs nd I haven't worn my splices in over a year
