Ok i just got my filthy riches and ive skied 7 or 8 times on them and i love em but the top sheet seems to be chipping already. I ride pretty hard and hit lots of rails. This is my first new ski my others have always been used. I expect there to be some wear on the top sheet around the edges but how much should i expect. Not to worried about them breaking cause the edges and bases are completely fine just kinda wondering what the norm for the top sheet

all sandwich type skis will chip like this. take a palm sander and bevel the topsheet edges. it helps so much. or if your not comfortable with a palm sander, just hand sand with some sand paper.

I feel like my ON3P FR edges and bases are super durable. If hitten so many rocks especially summer riding and just being really careless and they've held up so well. My edges stayed intact for a super long time and even with edge cracks the edge still surprised me to hang in there. Haven't had a coreshot yet or base ding, just thin scratches on the base. But ya I feel ya about topsheets they kinda are exposed to damage easier.

Ski on the snow, not on your skis.... top sheet chipping won't be a problem.

It generally comes from falling or crossing your skis. Your edge digs into the topsheet causing chips. While annoying, it's generally purely cosmetic. To cut down on it happening, use a razor blade on any chips that start up after skiing for the day. Soon enough your edges will dull down and won't cut into the tops.
All of that being said...this isn't an ON3P thing, it's a sidewall ski thing. It's very common on pretty much all skis. Also, it generally isn't considered a durability issue since it's just cosmetic.
