K-Dot.New walls were everywhere in x games. Besides ahmets new skis it doesn't look like much of a change in their line up. I'm pretty sure there was info on his new ski in the 15/16 gear thread
Freeskim@nDon't know if this is new but the Wall has semi cap construction. Also, all park skis are now made in China, which can't be a good thing in my book.
K-Dot.Semi cap or mini cap? It's had mini cap with full sidewalls for a while now. Also, if I'm not mistaken, all of volkls skis are made in china and have been for a while.
Freeskim@nMini cap, my bad. Volkl still makes a lot of their higher end skis in a german factory and I think Walls were made there not so long ago.
parkplaygroundyea you are spot on I don't remember how long ago but I specifically remember reading on Volkls that they were made in a place other than china.
And to the above comment, people think that china-made skis are worse because they generally are. the people making the skis are doing it for paychecks not for the love of the sport. they don't care if its not the best possible quality it can be. As long as it passes their minimum quality control they are set. Obviously the quality control can differ vastly between brands but my point still stands.
K-Dot.Some are made in china and some are made in germany and they're still great skis.
I understand what you're getting at but at the end of the day, how much your employees care about the product doesn't dictate the quality. American made skis can fall apart just as quick as chinese made skis. Every manufacturer can make good or bad skis whether they are from italy or germany or china. Look at k2. Made in china and durable as hell. Citing examples for all kinds of ski brands can be done but at the end of the day you'll notice that quality comes down to the actual design of the ski, not the factory they came from. If a factory was making shitty skis, the company would not use them.
