I was trying loads of new stuff last time I went skiing but when I go to do anything while the resort is packed I end up failing pretty bad and embarrassing myself. Also Ive been working on learning a misty 5 and people watching me try something like that is unnerving. Any easy way of overcoming this.
If I saw someone fall trying to learn a misty 5 Id probably have more respect for them than anything. Don't worry about other people tho dude. You're skiing for you right? Have fun with it and when you fall don't think about how you looked to other people. Odds are they cant do what you're trying and have no idea what it's like to throw a trick like that for the first few times. Keep tryin it dude and you'll stomp it soon enough!
Do some side country or backcountry if you have access to it. Even a short boot pack could be well worth it. Doing this has quite a bit of advantages and ill list a few.
1. Backcountry and side country are just sick and fun
2. Build the jump you want and where you want for the trick you want (lots of freedom)
3. Not near as many if any people will see you
4. Pow landings are nice for learning tricks
If you can't do that then id suggest what other people have already stated.
I give props to people who are trying to progress and have fun in the park. It looks cooler on you going out and really trying to accomplish new tricks. Also be confident!
