Replying to Concussions
So a little over a week ago I got my first concussion ever skiing. I thought this would be a huge setback for me this season but I've been recovering quick and in the end even after being knocked out my doctor still diagnosed it as a mild concussion due to how well I'm doing. I've been going to school, hanging out with friends and have been in many different situations and I've been showing no symptoms. My doctor said I can start skiing again this week but to not start hitting jumps and rails again until its two weeks since the concussion (this Saturday) which he still doesn't want me going all out which i start hitting actual features again. Here's my dilemma, theres a rail jam at my local resort on Saturday which I'm itching to compete in but I just don't really know if its that risky or not. I don't find myself hitting my head a lot when skiing rails but as we all know skiings un-predictable. I just wanted to see what advice anyone has on my situation, and if anyone else has had first hand experience with dealing with a concussion.
