Going to france for a year

So my dad has been given a sabbatical and the place we are thinking on going to is france.I was wondering if it would be worth it to bring all my gear because scene ill do shit in school i may take some days off to go shred the alps. So would it be worth it to bring my boots, skis and other stuff?

Oh and where are some of the best places to go to near montpellier. I was thinking candides home mountain cause it goes with my style of riding.

im not sure now much there is near montpellier but you could always hit andora the skiing isn't incredible but its really cheap and theres some good festivals worth checking out.

if you head to the alps make sure to check out Chamonix, one of a kind. i learn to ski in 'Les Portes du Soleil' which is a collection of resorts all connected by lifts. we're talking 14 valleys, 2 countries and 200 odd lifts. theres something for everyone. Avoriaz and Morzine being he best for park.

mt pell is relatively far from LaCluzas(Candides home mtn), its a coastal city in the south, pyrnees are closer, if you really wanna hit up the alps look for resorts in the maritime alps.

They taste like mushrooms, and the texture is pretty similar too

so is your dad a professor or? Sorry man, but to be honest I'm more interested in the terms of the sabbatical, is it pretty typical? He's just chosen France? Why France?

hey bro! french guy here and tbh, Mtpellier isn't close to the alps, but you can defo go hit some small parks in the pyrenees that aren't too far. Regarding Mtpellier itself though, AWESOME city. Parents lived there for a while, and people are real friendly, and sure know how to party. It's quite a universitarian town, so plenty of people to meet for sure.

I think Vars is not too far and it is considered by many as the best park in France
