Yes I know there are hundreds of Afterbang threads. But they all consist of kids complaining that they aren't good in pow or kids who don't ride them quoting the product video. I wanna hear some opinions from people who own em.
I already have a pair of Blend's. I want the Afterbang as a pure park ski for the massive parks of Ontario. Probably gonna pick up last year's for 200. I want to know if they'll last me longer than a season and if they're actually any fun. The extruded bases and general construction of the ski are a turn off. But if I'm only doing 30 second hot laps it might not be that bad? Let me know what you guys think.

To just put in simple I would say "They work". They are in no way a top notch ski neither are they complete junk. Their so called bomb proof design makes them no stronger than any other ski.
Pros-
Buttery
Thick bases
Cons-
Heavy
Sidewalls chip

I've skied the 10/11's in both 166 and 177, they area really fun if you like surfy/damp skis. If you are looking to get a snappy, quick, light ski I would look elsewhere. If you want one that can smear turns, butter, and find tranny I would go for them.
I cant say much for durability because I'm fairly small (120 lbs) but I haven't had any issues with them. The topsheets chip a lot but almost every line ski does that.

The Afterbang's "skate deck" construction total marketing bs. Don't fall for it. There is a reason why NO other company uses it. It creates an extremely heavy ski that is succeptible to waterlogging. The bases are extruded, which means they are very slow, do not hold wax at all, and iffy durability. Look elsewhere for skis.

They will last you forever very durable in my opinion but there heavy as shit but nice park ski and good flex but if you already used to blends you might hate these

my friend has the 2015s and hes my filmer so I use them quite often. I have used previous models specifically 2011 and 2012 and both were fun but realistily bad skis. The 2014 and 2015s on the other hand... these sticks are fun. theres no other way to put it. I hate the way Line skis ride, but they are fun as shit. You won't be dissapointed if you plan on fucking around on them. They are in no way heavy or even moderately noticeable for their weight. They are have average weight, and they dont have bad durability as far as topsheet goes as long as you sand the sides down at an angle to prevent bad chips. the steel they use for the edges is noticeably softer than most skis, so they wear very fast. this also means you won't catch and get edge cracks as easily, instead the metal will literally chip off (not bullshit, firsthand experience).
they are stable from their construction, but still very soft when you put them into a butter. the core really does make for a unique ride, and I can see why some people llove the skis. you can reallyy hold a flex right where you want them in butters too. Just a super fun ski to fuck around on like I said earlier.
The obvious con is the shitty base. you cant get around that really, but atleast they look cool.
ive held some super long butters on these sticks because they are soo great for long butters. if you wanna get down on jumps, dont get them. If you wann do some serious tech shit on rails, or just tranny find and butter around, you wont be dissapointed, unless you like going mach into rails like I do...
either way, they are fun as shit so I say send it and pick em up
