VinnieFI actually don't see how Jon Snow can't come back. GRRM has said the next two books will take readers further north than ever before and as it stands at the end of book 5/season 5 the only character with any significance left in the north is Bran, and considering he is kinda stuck under a tree for the rest of his life I don't really see the entirety of the story revolving around him alone. None of the other main characters will be in the north, so that really leaves Jon. I'm certain the dire wolves will be involved though.

BenWhitI had this same thought process. If you're an actor on a show that is widely known to surprise, captivate, disappoint, and excite (knowing they will always retain viewers) why would they tell people jon snow would come back? it doesn't make any sense. they are creating a hype machine.

What I see as a plothole in GOT is the gods, so like in the real world different people believe in different gods, but yet 3 of the gods that supposedly are the only one that exist prove to exist all at the same time: lord of light (crazy shit happening in the fire and demon thing), many faced gods, and the god the Stark believe in, with the talking tree and all the brendan bullshit (dam we didn't see him at all this season).
But yeah I don't see why GOT wouldn't create as much hype as possible after the big downfall of viewers for this season. And surely they wouldn't disappoint everyone right at the first ep of season 6, since it's what cost em that view count for the first 3 episode of season 5
