Help with color correction/ video quality on vimeo

Alright so it's nothing big, but I'm just asking in case someone has a solution to my problem.

So when I watch my edit on my computer it looks pretty good, but when I put it on Vimeo there's some kind of little pixel effect on some of the contour (mainly the skier). My exportation settings are those recommended by Vimeo.

So I'm wondering is there any tips I could try to avoid this? Maybe my color correction is still a bit too flat, maybe shoot with less sharpness next time or maybe some magic exportation formula?

Maybe I'm just going crazy too but if you guys have any tips that'd be cool,

it probably has something to do with bit rates but i'm definitely not an expert on how vimeo handles there videos

You can only do so much about an online video, there will be issues with compression no matter what.

Thanks for trying haha, I exported 5mbits/s wich is generally recommended for HD 720p

Nexxtech SDHC class 10 16 gb, gotta admit it's clearly a cheap brand but I've never had problem with it before

The card does NOT matter, at all.

No I think you can do better because i definitely noticed what you're talking about, it was primarily around the skiers shirt and ski edges. Also the sound quality was pretty rough. Here's my settings that i export from Adobe Premiere in

Video:

Format: Quicktime
Preset: Custom
Codec: H.264
Quality: 100
Width x Height: 1280 x 720
Frame Rate: 23.976
Field Order: Progressive
Aspect: Square Pixels
Render at Max. Depth
Bitrate Limit: Between 5000 and 7000 kbps (This is tricky and I usually use 7000 just to be safe, but ive never found a perfect number for this although im sure there is one. Also, obviously Vimeo has a limit to this, but i find 7000 looks very similar on my laptop to what it looks like on Vimeo.)
And I always check Maximum Render Quality.

Audio:

Codec: AAC
48000 khz
Stereo

Give these a shot or find similar settings in whatever editing program you have and see if it makes a difference.

I'd recommend exporting Mp4 h.264 files over quicktime, just my preference.

OP its gonna be tough since you're only shooting 720 (720p60 I'm guessing) so it won't look as high quality as say a gh3 or fs100.

Agreed with Heath - go mp4 H.264 rather than QT.
Try overkilling it. Go with a variable bitrate at target of 10mbps and a max of 20mbps. If it still looks compressed, it's probably not an encoding issue on your end.

Alright thanks guy I'll try that tomorrow, I was at 5 mbits/s h264 mp4 so I'll try overkilling it and see what I get.

Re-uploaded an overkill version, seems like the problem is still kinda there but I can't tell if it's less intense or if I just got used to it by now haha
