I don't think you know what you're talking about.

Canting is changing the angle at which the entire boot sits. It involves grinding the soles of the boots. Very few boots are canted.

Cuff alignment is usually done by adjusting bolts of either side of the boots, to match the angle at which your lower leg is.

I think you're talking about adjusting the forward lean of the boot, standing it up a bit more. There's usually a piece in the back of the cuff to remove that will allow for this.

I think you are confusing cuff alignment and canting and forward lean.

Cuff alignment: changes the angle of the cuff to better match the curvature in your leg. The hardware on boots is almost always incorrectly referred to or labeled as "canting".

Canting: changes the angle at which the bottom of the boot sits in order to reposition your knee & leg alignment (involves major boot surgery).

Forward lean: changes the fore/aft angle of the cuff to produce an upright skiing position or a more aggressive position.

Changing your cuff alignment should only be done to make the cuff fit more comfortably around your leg. It will not produce a "neutral stance", unless you mean the cuff fits neutrally around your leg and not causing a pressure point. Is this what you are trying to do, or are you looking to alter the positioning of your weight more forward or more backward (which is what forward lean will do).

Yeah sorry im talking about the cuff alignment, sorry guys. Yeah its kind of a lupo specific question. I would figure that the inner cuff should have an arrow pointing down and the outside cuff should have the arrow pointing up... who knows ill just do trial and error

Take the liners out of the boots. Then stand in them, with your feet shoulder width apart, and your foot centered in the boot. If your leg is closer to one side of the cuff than the other, adjust it accordingly.

This is done for people that are slightly bow legged or knock kneed.
