TheStamosGood luck:) It must be different for you since you where born and raised there. I was born and raised 2 hours away, lived there since I was 19, I'm almost 30 now so about 9 years with a couple years here and there. Every Time I left, i felt away from home and wasn't myself again until I went back. Its a draw for me, a spiritual place. The crest is my church i guess, something about the insignificance one feels when in or around the basin.Few places if any will ever fill the void for me.
Somewhere north would do it for me. Maybe the olympic peninsula, somewhere on the oregon coast or perhaps mendocino or humboldt county. If it was a city probably San Francisco, Portland or seattle would work. I feel salt lake or Colorado wouldn't work because it would be like tahoe but only half is good(No massive lake 26 miles long,9 miles wide and enough water to blanket the state of california 2 inches deep) I wish you luck! and worst case (or best) its not going anywhere quickly.

JustGoWithItOhhhhhhhh the memories. That place is no less than completely awesome.
.Hugo.Im really surprised someone on ns besides me has been there
DrailAnd yeah, I think it's time for a mass exodus of Tahoe sadly. A few years ago I was looking into the logistics of moving down there from Canada, but this is what? the 4th dry year in a row with pretty much all long term models leaning towards this being a continuing trend. I think there's going to be about 20 million people about to get relocated out of SoCal in the next decade.
AT-ATIts what happens when you spend all your money on social issues and all your time pillaging the water rights of little towns hundreds of miles away, instead of investing in a few desalination plants.
KravtZAgreed...california politics has ruined that state. I think its Israel that has one of the most advanced desalination plants in the world and is massively successful using it. A couple of those would solve a lot of problems. Stop giving money to the illegals
moistBozeman, MT
I left Reno/Truckee for here.
