Tips for Olleing

Can anyone give me tips on the ollie higher?
I was watching steele ollie up on to the table in yearbook and i was amazed.I couldnt even imagine olleing onto that. So any tips would be cool.

Try simulating it like you do on a skateboard, just obviously not with you feet perpendicular to the hill. Load your tails and pop back onto them, and bring your feet up and forward and you have an ollie.

i just tried the springs in my basement and holy shit i was olleing 5 feet..i hit my head on the ceiling..i reccommend it to everyone

Yea it will effect it, 115lbs of weight centered over the tail vs. a small percentage of 115lbs throughout the ski makes a huge difference.

the more you shift your weight back, the more you will compress the tails of your skis, thus when you pop, the ski will rebound more violently, which gives you more spring, or thrust. this should lunge you foward a lil' then you can enjoy the ride.

I haven't really found a specific technique for it...but i do know that you get more height when u jump off your tails rather than the middle of your skis.

they definitely have to be pretty much center mounted, i have mavericks and cant do much on them but i demoed fujis and they were real easy to ollie. Cant ollie the mavericks for crap though.

I cut the springs out of my mattress and duct taped them to my skis. they ollie really well now. (my mom was pissed about my mattress)

yup flat ground nollies are not too hard, i can nollie higher than ollie, but nollie to rail or off a jump seems way harder than ollie of a jump or onto a rail.
