Freeskiers removing ear pads on helmets

One of the reasons i do it is for comfort. Some earbuds i have don't fit well in my ear with ear pads pushing against them, so thats one reason. And yeah i guess it looks kinda cool haha.

I feel like people here will tell you that you should do what feels best to you and i agree for some things like helmet vs no helmet and poles vs no poles, but the ear pads style is something that will look worse 99% of the time. Its not one of those things that a few people can pull off well and doesnt work for most. I can guarantee that if your head isnt physically deformed that you will look better. you look cooler and more mature as you understand style more. You look like you have been in the freestyle scene more and arent just starting out in the park. You dont ever really see any pro's wearing ear pads unless they are some goofy pro who tries to have a funny look. Someone like andy parry or ian compton could pull that off but you are not andy parry trying to be satirical of gapers, you are just some kid and no one will expect much skill at first look if you wear ear pads.

It really doesn't matter how you look as long as you're having a good time. OP, some people do it for comfort, some people do it for style. No one will judge you for wearing them, it just does look a little more normal without them if you're going goggles under the helmet.

some helmets like giros, smiths, and berns have models that you can put certain speakers in so you don't have to fuddle with earbuds but other than that theirs no reason to keep them on really, especially I you wanna show off whatever cool goggle brand you have.

I usually just wrap my dick around my head like a bandana and throw my helmet on top of that.

I put mine back on when it's like -30 C.

They muffle the sound and make it harder to hear when people are talking. Especially since I always have ear buds in.
