Yeah sure it was childish of Gus to call out Nick like that on social media, but I kinda like the idea of having a good rivalry in skiing again. Like back when Tanner and Simon were in there prime, it makes the sport way more exciting to watch. After seeing the huckfest go on at Xgames, I think freeskiing needs a good rivalry like this.

Gus is embarassing himself, not as annoyed by Wallisch since he seemed to be joking a bit. Nick was fortunate enough to even be the first man up as an alternate and he took it as another shot to show his skill and he did damn good. Maybe Gus should take action for his callout and not watch Goepper get wrecked by the audience.

I think Gus is awesome, but the callout was a rookie move especially when Goepper actually did acknowledge ABM. Gus has a silver medal, dog love and grew up in Telly w/ Oprah and Tom Cruise and he's calling out some midwesterner?

Shit, worry about winning something in X-Games and not calling out Goepper. Podium in Slope, Big Air and Halfpipe and then call him out, but don't come in last and do it. Bobby Brown had a medal-boner last night and skied through a concussion and a sixer of Red Bull to get up on that podium. Probably not the ideal way to get up there, but still.

Then again, if Goepper did stir up the shit in Breck and tell him he only won Dew because of bad weather...yeah, probably warranted on Gus' part, but still sort of classless.

MaryOI don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but what I do know is I've personally never read anything from Nick dissing other riders on social media, whereas MANY of the pros publicly mock Nick. Nick may or may not be cocky, but these others are just bullies and probably envy Nicks success, or unworthy of it because he lacks the "style" in their eyes. Its obvious when they go congratulating everyone except Goepper. Childish.

I remember when gus first came around everyone made fun of him. First memory I have of him is watching him land switch at freestyle.ch without enough control and take out I believe it was Russ henshaw who was standing at the bottom and everyone was like who the hell is this guy lol. That was back when Simon was superman front flipping everything. First thing goepper did on the scene is win lots of gold lol

I agree but wtf dead kids? Lol. ABM got injured. I hate that people think Goepper has "no style" how you ski is your style not sagging your pants and head banging everything. I'm hyped for nick getting 3 in a row.
