Find a lodgepole pine about 40 ft. high next to a creek. Clear the branches and bark from bottom up to about 25 feet. Climb to top of the tree and tie a rope about 100 feet long. Then, build a jump next to the base of the tree. Fell the tree with a skier holding the rope tied to the top pulling the skier toward the tree. The tree will hit the ground and the skier will lip on blind 2 the tree across the river. How sick would this be?
That seems wasteful and detrimental to the ecosystem that exists in the area surrounding said tree. I will be reporting you to the Forest Police immediately.
Eastern.SkierNot that this wouldn't be cool to watch but wouldn't it take forever to cut every single branch so that it is flush with the rest of the tree?
I do realize this would be next to impossible to execute correctly and extremely time consuming, therefore I never plan on actually doing it, but I came up with the idea just thinking it would be sick in an edit.
JamartiniOP draw it out I am confused
and for those with no imagination... I present my paint skillz

Old-schooler.Only cool if you do it as the tree is falling
Well, as the tree falls, the rope tied to the top will be the tow in, pulling the skier with the momentum of the moving tree. That's the main reason this is so sick!
if anybody wasted the time to do this when they hit it they would freak out and mess up because a 40 lodgepole pine that probably ways 1000 or more pounds is coming down right behind them so they wouldn't even try to slide it and then realize that they just wasted probably more then a day stripping all the branches and bark off a tree just to watch it fall over. but I agree if it worked it would be sick.
