At pebble creek (southeast idaho) we haven't gotten a good snowfall for a couple weeks, and aren't supposed to for a couple more. Its been hot too, like it reminds me of spring skiing. But it's only January...

even in park city we've had a pretty warm season, we've only really gotten 2 actual snowfalls and it was wet pow both times. other than that we've hardly gotten anything.

probably still better than rain though

the Wasatch back always gets snubbed with snow. the storm two weeks ago was pretty good. the cottonwoods are in great shape, but this high pressure is kicking our asses. only supposed to get warmer this weekend. in the 50's in PC by Monday. surf city, yo.

...Except the snowpack in the central WA Cascades is around 35% of normal and the short- and long-term forecasts are pretty dire for any kind of significant bounceback. This transcends the 'Juneuary' blandness that has occurred in many of the recent years.

Revy's doing pretty well after a slow start. We're sitting at ~600cm total snowfall for the season with almost a 2m base. It warmed up to the top last night and today (2°C) and looks like it'll be that way for the next day or two, but on the plus side all the precipitation fell as snow before the warming. We should be pretty good as soon as temperatures drop and we get some fresh.

SCUBA season: when neoprene is the best outerwear you can have, you have legitimate concrens about flash flooding while on the mtn, and the snow conditions resemble coral reef.

Those were predictions and it hasn't been an El Nino year. Up until the latest report (today, Jan 26th) it's been ENSO-Neutral.

There's a 50% probability of El Nino for the next 2 months, neutral after that.

ya whis alpine has been better, but its kinda getting worse now, and there are bear spots near to of emerald so i would say its worse then last year
