QuantumMechanicNot exactly skiing related, but definitely x games related...it piqued my curiosity to see Atomic's logo on the skis of the x games snapchat filter. I'd be interested to know how many (if any) other companies tried to get that kind of ad space. I mean they could have done just a skier with black bases, but the fact that Atomic was able to get on there made it seem like snapchat had a more unique/intimate investment in x games and thereby freeskiing, which I thought was cool. Just a thought
I'm assuming since its the first time its ever been done, they just asked who wanted to do it an atomic got first dibs. Snapchat is very new still, companies aren't exactly throwing money at them yet.

progression like noahs switch dubs should score higher then more common dubs that might be grabbed slightly better / a couple feet higher, his other tricks were flossed too. Just my opinion though

It's amazing how little people can read. I pretty much 100% agree with Jacob. Also the format for the big air these days is awesome. 15/20 minute jam, it's so much fun and lends itself to being exciting much more than any other format. With at least 5 hits each session we see the riders relax and try new things, not just adding an extra 180 but starting to do things their own way.
Also the idea that spinning less than 540 = style is just fucking retarded. You end up with a checklist for style, things like 'did he do a just do an octo-grab? that's way more stylish than a safety', that kinda defeats the point. If the judges relax and score based on what they think is cool, also deliberately not rewarding triple 1620's just for being triple 1620s, then we'll see a shift towards style.

Please explain to me how you know about the ins and outs of snapchats business? You don't, i don't but I'm making an educated guess. The first takeovers were this summer and you think that companies are fighting over who gets to be in the snapchat filter?

I don't know the ins and out but i know the price snapchat asks is 750,000 a day for a takeover, putting that into consideration you can make an educated guess that being in the filters isn't a 'who ever wants it' scenario.
I didn't say people are fighting over it but snapchat has a huge audience, im not sure how the filter works but if any brand got in there for free snapchat wouldn't be asking 750,000 for a takeover. Maybe if you had an understanding of how advertising, marketing or brand placement works you coulda figured that out.

I definitely agree but was just trying to explain, my guess at why the judges felt that way. I would've loved to have seen Kevin's run if he'd had one more gnarly trick on the opposite site. His flat 3 is seriously the sickest thing ever though. Bowman's run was so ill.
Apparently it was definitely a dub from other angles, just the tv angle sucked for that axis. When I saw that first I didn't even think it was a single...

it's not that crazy. i consider myself really good at IDing tricks and when i drunkenly half-watched it at the bar i thought it was a 16. it's really weird to see someone do a 3 to 9 and the 9 coming after the 3 is really spinny and sort of made my brain assume he had started with a bio 7 kinda thing and spun out of it. idk.
honestly one of the tougher tricks to ID i can think of. can you think of a harder one? i guess switch trip 18s or something

Yeah you're right, it probably is one of the tougher tricks to spot especially with that grab. At first glance I guess I could forgive someone for thinking 16, but for people to still think that way 5 days later and with all the replays available is just... Brutal. It really only bothers me because people are just so convinced it's a 16
Someone pull the trigger and upload the full events please!!! Trying to watch them while everyone else watches the Superbowl, I live in downtown Seattle and all Ive have to do is stick my head out the window to see if we've won haha
