Adjusting marker binding.

I mean on my markers i always just do it myself beacause its hard to fuck up than fks, but probs good to bring into the shop if you dont feel confident doing it. If you bought the boots or skis or bindings there then maybe but like otherwise maybe like 5$ cuz they would check to make sure they release properly also

you will get charged. If its a simple adjustment sport chek is the cheapest 10$. mount louis would charge not sure how much. My shop does for 20.

Take a look at how they fit with your old boots then adjust them so that your new boots fit in the same way.

Take them back to the shop you bought the boots from. Most shops will adjust for free if you've bought from them.

I kinda have to say you shouldn't do this, but shops with charge a lot for this so here is the info you would need if you wanna do it yourself.

Regarding forward pressure, all you have to do for markers is click the boot in, and then tighten/loosen the screw in the back until it is flush with the housing. When it's flush, just take your boot out and click in again to make sure it doesn't settle differently.

If you have height adjustable AFDs just set them high enough for your toe to not have to push the toe piece up when you click in, or they will develope a little bit of play (mine have this and honestly it doesn't make any difference, just make sure the boot can't wiggle around).

Your height, weight, skiing ability, knee history,and BSL are all important factors and I stay on the cautious side of where I should be because I don't ski where there are cliffs/gnarly urban/any huge features that would fuck me up in a pre-release.

The height adjustment on the AFD is not an adjustment that could cause the binding to critically malfunction and not do it's job. To prove my point, there are plenty of excellent bindings that don't even have it, axial2's and fks for example. It is just meant for people to be able to fix up-down play in toe piece because some boot soles are thicker then others (thin full tilts vs thick race boots) and many people were beginning to not like the fact that they could feel their boots chattering in their bindings. So yes, it is meant to make your boot not wiggle around in the up and down direction and properly contact the rollers in the wings.

I did clearly state that it's a bad idea and you shouldn't adjust bindings yourself, but that the information I was giving OP would be what he needed in the case he chose not to take it to a shop. I figured, I would rather him know the proper information rather than find incorrect information and then wind up screwing himself up.
