Overrotated backflip, hurt chest???

hey ns,
recently, I overrotated a backflip and landed on my back. However, instead of my back hurting, whenever I put pressure on my arms, my chest (sternum to be exact) gets a sharp pain. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it possible that I fractured something?

Sounds like broken ribs or sternum, id check WeMD to be sure though

Sounds like a problem with your rib cage. Get it checked out cause chest pain after a crash is nothing to play around with. A while back my dad was cut off while going GS speeds, and he crashed super hard. Turned out to be a punctured/deflated lung, and multiple broken ribs.

Since it was an over rotated backflip you probably contracted AIDS. If it was anything else it would've been something a little less severe like a bad bruise or a fracture or something.

If you're worried, go to InstaCare (or equivalent). They'll see you faster, charge you less, and will transfer you to an ER if need be.
As long as you're not coughing up blood, having difficulties breathing, or feel pain/tightness in your chest. Then I would go get checked out ASAP

I did that a few years ago after leaning really far back thinking a pile of snow was pow (it was ice) and I accidentally did half a backflip lol. Wound up forcing my chin down into my chest wall and the doctor called it moderate-severe chest cavity bruising. It was just bruising but in an awkward spot so breathing, living, or doing anything hurt exactly how you described it. If you can bend your chin down and it touches where it hurts, you are probably fine. Play it safe and get it checked out though, possible lung/rib/chest injuries will fuck you later in the future if you leave them alone.

In all seriousness though I would go get checked out be a physician or NP/PA. We can sit here and tell you all sorts of things, but unless one of us is Dr. House and happens to find that ingrown toenail on your right foot we probably are not going to come up with a evidence backed answer.
Like others said though, you may have fractured or bruised something.

If you take a deep breath and your ribs or sternum hurt when doing this then you most likely broke a rib. I broke 2 and whenever i would take a deep breath it felt like someone punched me in the chest.
