I've always wanted to ask about this...

At the beginning of Few Words theres that part where you're walking toward the wolf! A lot of people i know believe that the scene is fake or cgi, which I think they're all crazy. Why in the world would you waste money and time to make a 2 second clip fake!

Can we get confirmation on whether it's fake or not. I know it's not but i want to put it in the faces of all the disbelievers out there.

SitHow do you not explode when straight lining mogul fields?

And thank you for consistently reminding us to look at mountains from different perspectives! Apart from being just incredible displays of skiing, OOTD1 and 2 are in my mind amazing because they show you approaching a mountain anyone can access in a new, creative, and insane way!

CandideThovexI don't really like the athletic side of it today. At the beginning we got inspired by snowboarding and we only wanted to get away from this serious attitude. Training and stuff. It' s all about having fun.
But this is only my point of view. Anybody do what they want. It is called FREEstyle.
I'm not a big fan of the No Pole to be honest. I'm a skateboarder.
But once more, anybody do what they enjoy.

This is not fake. That was one of the scariest moment of my life. For the little story, at one point, the wolf came behind me and bit my leg, close to my balls! and then the wolf trainer was 30 meters away, he screamed at the wolf and he backed of but he started to look at me showing his teeth like he was gonna eat me. I thought i was gonna die. It was in hip deep slush. i couldn't escape. But the trainer managed to calm him down. I was lucky.

Did you get in trouble by ski patrol after jumping off the ski lift landing? The way you skid in that video was insane and it only makes me want to try what you did. I'll be trying a backflip soon.

A few years ago you broke your back, and although the doctors told you that you would never ski the same again you came back stronger than ever. What's the toughest aspect of coming back from an injury like that, physical or mental?

At one point, i was like, maybe i should try to film this with a POV Camera.
Definitely got surprised of the results.
And then i was like, maybe i should try to be more creative about it.


I think this comment stuck out the most to me of anything he said.

OOTD 1 was totally mind blowing, but I really do feel like you could tell it was actually just an average day of skiing at his home resort. Any one of us here know that you shred your home resort way harder than anywhere else, because you know absolutely every single nook and cranny of that place.

Extreme boss mode engaged when he's like "Oh shit, I'll just throw on a GoPro, film what I do every day." and BAM - fries everyone's fucking brain.

Why be so secretive? Everyone loves what you do, show your fans and the world more. No need to prove anything else, job done. We just want some regular good old skiing from the flying Frenchman. And bring back the candide invitational (not in 5 years please and thank you)

How is he secretive? Why does he need to show the world more? I think most skiers are just stoked on Candide doing what he does and us getting a glimpse into that world every now and again.

What really blows me away is how diverse the audience is for OOTD 2. Every other day it seems like someone posts the link to the video on Facebook. Usually the person is a skier that hasn't been on their computer for awhile and just got to see it, but what amazes me is that often it is being reposted by people I know who aren't into freestyle and aren't really even that into skiing. This is the first time I can remember this happening. Candide has taken the sport to the masses even more so than the Olympics did. Those 5 minutes and 3 seconds of footage have have been a game changer, and will inspire a whole knew crop of freeskiers from unexpected places.
