If you're talking about regular lip then definitely that is easier. If you just focus on getting your tails high and over the rail probably not much will happen other than coming off early.
I feel like this should be obvious. Switch on is a lot harder because you are looking over your shoulder and rotating a different direction on to the rail vs. a lip on where you have to lift the backs of your skis up so you don't clip the rail when you get on.
