Different Types of Skiers

What are your thoughts on kids that go out there only to progress. I have a friend who pretty much only skis to progress and can never have fun. He doesn't want to talk or do anything else than hike the park and is super serious about it. Do these kinds of people annoy you? Maybe it's just me

I think that that is the only type of skiing. Do u really think that skiing is about having fun? NO!!! Its about getting sponsered and getting reach fast. If you go skiing for fun then you might as well quite. Thats what i hate about this is all the videos are if people doing butters cause theu are to scared to throw real tricks!

If they wanna let them go for it. Are you saying you dont want to progress at all? I have had tons of fun watching myself progress from a little shitcunt gaper into someone who can ski anywhere and have tons of fun. The best part is i still have more to improve on.

Surly progressing is what makes it fun, from making the fun edits where you can only straight air and looking back on them and laughing. Trying your first backy or fronty and screwing it up! These all bring laughs to you and your friends. Isn't that what skiing should be all about going out there having the most fun with friends trying tricks you wouldn't try on your own and having laughs.

Your friend can have fun when hes a pro. Nick Gopeer didnt get to where he is today by having fun. i would say your friend will be laughing at you when he goes pro and you dont, but he wont be able to because he will be drowing in all the pussy.

I think people with motivation to progress in the sport are cool but it isn't fun to hang out with them. However, one day since he focused on progressing he'll be really good. I like to have fun find trannies and for the most part don't give a fuck about what people think about me. Gapers don't annoy me very much unless they cut you off or are just a dick to you. In the long run we were all once gapers and they deserve some respect for trying the sport and expanding it.

I was EXACTLY like that with djing. It eventually ruined it. Finding the balance between serious progress and fun is the key to long term success. Take lj strenio for example.

I have a friend who does the same tricks every run.

I also have a friend who learns a new trick almost every weekend.

I have some friends that barely progress, they just like to party and ski.
