I noticed this to but I think it has to do with the proccesing speed of the camera

the processing speed doesnt change a refection in a mirror...
there is some very highly skilled editing going on, the shot where he looks up to the sky of birds flying over head, while transitioning seamlessly to the beginning of the run, #videogameshit

the error you "found" is a green screen so they didnt have the gopro in the shot...
