Carving off the lip?

procedure, carve up the jump until you get the lip, continue to carve. you're now carving off the lip. it helps you get corked more easily, plus it looks damn cool

it puts an extra, off, weird axis on your spin... it helps you get corked easier.... you cant do a good cork 3 without a carve... it brings a bigger tech aspect to jumps too...

you do it by starting to the left or right of the jump then making a turn up the jump so you are going straight or to the left or right or whatever angle you wish off the jump. make sure you still pop, but pop with your carve, which should be off axis and corked now, then just spin like normal...

i dont think it looks cool. i reckon it looks way better coming straight into the kicker. its good for learning cork but then you should stop. butters into jumps, on the other hand, are totally awesome.

once some skier pulled a sweet carveing cork thingy then a snow boarder tryed it he carved from one corner at the base of the table to the corner and tryed to carve back the corner of the jump broke loose and he flew off the jump off to the side and landed on hid head what a great moment.

once i hit a jump i carved from the right to the left on the lip then i carved to the lip and then i started carving the otherway wich is left also then i hit the jump as i carved into the lip then the lip broke so i flew like outta controll upsidedown corked off axis bio onto a teleskier it was sick!

i was at okemo last year and i looked down like 3 tables or so and some kid carved a pretty decent cork 3 with what looked like a crossed up tail grab...it was only a 20 footer but it was so smooth, carving of the lip is dank

You could kinda do an alley-oop carving into the jump. i.e. You go from the left to the right to the left again, then once you hit the jump you spin right (while you carved into the jump left) Would that work?

it just lets you cork earlier and uncork earlier therefore making cork 3 possible!

And yes, 'ally-oop' carves have been done. If you want to see one watch Belanger's part in Roaylty. I have done a couple and they feel really akward.
