milk_manExplain. Explain how two people who go to the same college and get the same degree can have different levels of respectability just because of their worldview. Honestly that's extremely ignorant to say
Science is built on peer review. The reason science is published is so that your peers have an opportunity to see, understand, and repeat what you have done. Through consensus, knowledge is built. These scientists you've posted are for the most part unknown. With respect to their creationist ideals, they build consensus in their little cult of creationists, but not within the scientific community; their work is not good enough to validate the claims they are trying to prove.
So no, two scientists with the same alma mater are not equal. It's not because of their beliefs, but because of the quality and impact of their work. There are plenty of religious scientists who keep their views to themselves and study more generally. Those who aim to prove claims of creationism, on the other hand, are largely disregarded because their work is not widely accepted by the scientific community.
The beauty of science is that the logic points you towards a clear answer. Statistics and well-framed thought problems can bring numerous people into agreement about things. The fact that an overwhelming majority of well-established and peer-reviewed scientists (lol not dentists) support a certain idea is a testament to the fact that the logic, observation, and experiment supporting that idea is sound. A similar argument was had not too long ago about climate change.
You can't go into science looking for something. That bias will only lead you astray. If you start an experiment with a fundamental belief that the outcome will be a certain way, you will more likely to falsify results or bend experiments to fit that conclusion. The wonderful thing about modern peer-reviewed science is that these discoveries were made by asking questions without bias for the answer. This is one of the fundamental tenants of ethical scientific procedure.
If you cannot do this, nor appreciate statistics or consensus, then you are disregarding science.
