Matthew-You could get some carbon fiber poles but those are not exactly cost effective. Titanium would also be pretty strong. You get what you pay for because the cheaper the pole the crappier the metal. To be honest I would just get a really cheap pair that you can replace it without worrying about breaking an expensive pair that is more durable.
NinetyFourI doubt I'll ever ride aluminium poles again after riding the Armada team composites:

They're made out of fiberglass, not carbon. That's good though because they're cheaper than carbon, more resilient than carbon, lighter than aluminium, and they don't bend like aluminium. The simple grip and strap are pretty nice to if you prefer that.

SPUTnik.Does anyone know anything about Soul Poles? Are they just as durable as Panda Poles?
.LincolnDurability wise, I cannot comment on the soul poles, for I have not ridden them. But I'm sure they are on the same scale of durability. But here a few reasons why I'd go panda over soul.
1. Cheaper. Panda starts at $85 a pair and soul is $100 a pair i believe.
2. Basket. The panda basket is awesome for traversing, especially on the deeper days. The big basket doesn't sink through. It also doesn't drag or get hung up all over the place since its cut a 45 degree angle with the pole.
3. Grips. I hate pistol grips. That's just me but I like grabbing where I want. Also the grip length is nice. Grab low when riding, high when traversing.
Haha just a few things but they can make a difference which can make your skiing more enjoyable. Also bamboo poles look so sick. Tansnowman(the owner) is also really chill and nice. If you have any questions about anything just email him and he'll let you know
Scotty_BoyAnother recommendation for Panda Poles. Also you can design your own pair from their website. The color of grips, grip type, the type of bamboo used, the basket, basket color, the straps, and the length are all customizable.
StoseBeen doing a lot of graphic stuff lately.

StoseSo this got posted in the wrong thread, but it was a glitch on NSs part, not mine. Please ignore
