Better to pay for experiences than for things. I really took it to heart and have some of the stupidest, craziest, and funniest stories thanks to that advice.

This is great advice.

I got some good career advice from my father and some random guy at a work experience placement during high school. Could possibly be one of the best decisions I've made.

My freshman year the first time I met the varsity football coach, he told me that highschool only last four years, and once its over, you never get to re do it. For whatever reason that has stuck in my head, not just with highschool but in all aspects of my life, because everything ends at some point and its always been a reminder to work as hard as i can in everything i do.

when choosing a school/job go to a place because you enjoy it not because of the school/job's prestige etc. If you're not in a place you enjoy you're not gonna enjoy work.
