Ski Length

Hey guys, looking to get a touring setup lately. What would you recommend length wise? I'm 5'8 and around 150. I've been skiing all my life and my everyday driver is a 181 Kartel 106. I'm looking at the ON3P Steeple Line (either the 102 or 112, undecided right now). I was thinking the 174 would be right, I was told that it's better to go 5-10cm shorter for a touring setup for weight and maneuverability. Thanks.
