What countries have the best snow athletes?

There has got to be something in the Swedish and Norwegian water. The skiers and snowboarders from these countries are next level.

Based on the numbers the answer is Norway. 329 total medals in the history of the Winter Olympics. USA in second with 281 and Russia rounding things out with 194.

You seriously don't intend to count all historic nordic events in no one cares about, do you?

As for the only valid portion which counts here the US clearly leads skiing and snowboarding by a considerable margin!

We have more talented athletes, but the Norwegians are on a different level.
