Edge Pull Out

Alright so my edge pulled out on my ski, the missing section is like a foot and a half long and the edge is completely lost and gone. I've been told to fill the ski with epoxy and clamp it, but I'm wondering if there is anything better to do and whether this will feel weird when skiing rails, as the pulled out section happens to be right under the boot where one slides rails.

just get new skis... ive gotten a new edge piece put in before and it will rip out again if you continue to hit rails
