(Possibly dumb) question about video views

So I posted an edit to my vimeo this morning and then put it on ns. everywhere i posted the video was the link to the NS video, not the one on vimeo. On NS, it says it has 870, whereas on vimeo it says i have 720 views. Not that it matters at all, but I was just wondering what this discrepancy is?

I believe NS counts by views of the video page and Vimeo counts by views of the actual video.
